Wayne Kimmell's Art on Historic Apartment Building

November 1, 2009

Audubon Court Apartment owner Chris Piazza, Irvington Guild of Artists Art Walk Chair Marti Icenogle, artist Wayne Kimmell, and IDO Director Amandula Henry show off Wayne's artwork on historic apartment building.

"When I first had the vision for artwork on Audubon Court,  Wayne Kimmell was part of that vision.  His elegant style, his lovely mix of colors, his dreamy yet somehow perfect renderings of Irvington landmarks;  his work was made for my art displays,  his heart and soul was in Irvington.  He brought more love and truth to Irvington than many realize.

He was a brilliant man who followed his heart, and even at age 70 he was inspired and ambitious.  He had a gift...Irvington lost one of it's finest."
